What is Stock Movement?

Stock movement is used for transferring the items from one location to the other.

How to create Stock Movement?

To create Stock movement,

Select Stock Movement-> Create New.
Select the Item to be moved
Select Locations from where the stock has to move from and move to
Enter the Quantity Available in the From Location and Quantity to be moved
Click on Add button

Quantity available in a location is calculate as

Quantity Available - Quantity Moved

When an item is moved from one location to the other, then if at the later time, the same item is selected for stock movement, the available quantity will be the remaining of what was moved.

In the example shown above Quantity Moved is 2 from 115. Hence next time when the same item is selected for stock movement,

Available Quantity = 115 - 2 = 113. [Refer the Screenshot below]

NOTE: From and To Location cannot be the same.
