Employee Self Services

Employee self-service, or ESS, is a feature with HAL ERP that allows employees to take care of many different human resources-related and job-related tasks that would otherwise need to be completed by human resources personnel or management.


To access ESS, go to Employee Self services in the menu.



My Leave RequestsThis form allows an employee to apply for leave against the applicable leave for him/her.


The leave type field in the form will populate the type of leaves available for the company and when any of the leave types are selected, the leaves available field would show the available balance of the leave type for that employee.  

Once the leave application is created, it goes for approval to the concerned person for approval and once it is approved, the status in the form would show the status of the approval whether it is approved or not.




My Late Requests- This Form allows to apply for late requests by an employee.


The employee can mention when he/she is intending to be late for work and the reason. The In Time and Out time would be the time the employee would be coming in and out on the date selected. Once the late request application is created, it goes for approval to the concerned person for approval and once it is approved, the status in the form would show the status of the approval whether it is approved or not.


My Payslips- Will show all the processed payslips from the DOJ of the employee to date.


My Leave transactions will give the report on the leave transactions of the employee. i.e the leaves credited to the employee and the leaves availed in that financial year.



My Leave Balance will show the current leave balance of the employee.



My Purchase request is the report that would show all the Purchase requests raised by the employee.



My Advance is the form to apply for advance by the employee. 

The amount field is to enter the amount of advance being requested for expenses that are to be incurred for official reasons in the future. 

The Recovered amount is the amount that has been recovered from the employee out of the total salary advance that was approved and credited to him/her. The pending recovery field if set to "yes" means that the advance amount is not completely recovered yet and that there would be recovery from the employees' salary based on the recovery schedule that was agreed and when set to "No" means that the entire advance credited has been recovered.


My Employee claim is the form to raise reimbursement claims against the bills already spent for official purposes.

The Pay for field will list vendors that you can choose from to enter the details of the bills being claimed. The Costing details tab will list the customer jobs and the particular job could be chosen against which the expenses are being claimed. 

The Expense Head will list all the expense accounts created and you could choose the account against which the amount being claimed has to be accounted for.

Once the claim request application is created, it goes for approval to the concerned person for approval and once it is approved, the status in the form would show the status of the approval whether it is approved or not.


Employee Document Request  is the form to choose if an employee want to request any official document from the company like Salary slip, service record etc.,




The employee can open the form, and select from the listed documents that are available in the drop down, fill in the appropriate details based on the option chosen and submit the request for the selected document.



Once the document is approved from Manager/HR, the document will be made available for the employee.
