Sales Returns

To Create a New Sales Returns, Click Sales -> Sales Returns,


Sales Returns can be created in two ways.

  1. Against the Invoice
  2. Against the Sales Receipt


Creating Sales Returns against the Invoice:


    To Create a Sales Returns against the Invoice, Select Invoice in the Transaction Type, and select the Invoice which you want to return


  • Select the Transaction type as Invoice
  • Select the Transaction Ref. i.e. Invoice against which you are going to Create Sales Returns
  • Once you select the Transaction Ref., all the Items along with the Tax applied for that particular Invoice will automatically populated in the Grid Below.
  • Enter the Return Reason
  • Select the Return Type i.e. Refund /Credit
    If REFUND is selected then linked to invoice will be set to No by default. This should be used if its CASH REFUND. This will not come in Customer SOA.
    And if you select CREDIT then you will have option to Linked to Invoice YES/NO. If Link to Invoice = YES & Apply to Invoice = YES, then it will close the Invoice if its UNPAID. If its PAID, then you have to manually close this CREDIT NOTE against another UNPAID INVOICE in "Receive Payment" Module. This should be used if its CREDIT NOTE or Cancelling or reversing the whole Invoice. This will come in Customer SOA.
  • You can edit the Qty to Return and Price, to match with refund amount which you are going to get.


Creating Sales Returns against the Sales Receipt:



  • Select the Transaction type
  • Select the Transaction Ref.
  • Once you select the Transaction Ref., all the Items of that particular Sales Receipt will automatically populated in the Grid Below.
  • Enter the Memo
  • You can edit the Qty to Return and Price
